Why do I get a GoTo Opener 12029 error?

Follow the steps below if you get a 12029 error upon trying to launch GoTo Opener from the pop-up window, stating that connection with the server could not be established:
- When prompted in the GoTo Opener pop-up window, click Cancel.
- Click download & run GoToMyPC in the banner.
- Open GoTo Opener from the downloads folder directly.
