Why is Symantec Endpoint Protection warning me about LogMeIn Pro?
Symantec products are configured by default to warn the end-user about remote control applications installed on their computer. To indicate to Symantec that you trust the software, you need to add an exception to its set of rules.
In Symantec Endpoint Protection, you can configure an exception to discontinue warnings about LogMeIn Pro being in the CommercialApps.2 warning category by adding an exception as follows:
- In Symantec Endpoint Protection, Go to Centralized Exceptions
- Go to Security Risk Exceptions
- Go to Folder
- Add the installation directory for LogMeIn Pro (default is c:\program files\logmein)
