Error: join.me repeatedly tries to update
When trying to start a new meeting, join.me notifies you that an update is in progress. The update seems complete, but the join.me desktop app closes and your meeting does not start. When attempting to start another meeting, join.me tries to update again.
First, uninstall the join.me desktop app.
- After uninstalling the join.me desktop app, start a new meeting using the join.me website. Important: Don't invite anyone to join. This won't be a real meeting.
- Exit the meeting.
- When prompted, select Keep join.me on my desktop and exit the meeting.
The desktop app is downloaded and installed.
