Troubleshooting Remote Execution
Here are the most common problems with Remote Execution.
- Task Failed
- Double-check your script. Remember that your script runs on the LocalSystem account. Your script may not run the same on a different PowerShell version.
- Unavailable
- Confirm that your target computer is online, or it is going to be online in 24 hours following the launch of your script.
- Task timed out
- Ensure that the run time of your script is not longer than two hours. Try to avoid creating endless loops.
- Result missing
- Although your target computer started running your automated PowerShell script, it could not report back its results within 24 hours following the launch of your job.
- Unknown error
- Double-check that you are using the latest host software on your computer.
