What's new in the web app

WBU (Sep 1.0) - September 12, 2023
  • Introduced a new annual subscription plan with monthly billing. Users are now able to choose the annual subscription to GoToMyPC with the option to pay month by month. With this plan, users can save 15% compared to our regular Monthly plan. New icon
WBU (Jul 1.0) - July 19, 2023
  • Removed the single-tap approval feature of the Last Pass Authenticator. We also updated every text accordingly that mentioned the single-tap approval. The multifactor authentication feature with the Last Pass Authenticator is still functioning with GoToMyPC. New icon
  • Fixed a UI issue where text elements of a pop-up window overlapped with other graphic elements, and another issue where the pop-up window changed its size after three minutes of inactivity.

What's new in the web app (WBU May 2.0) - May 24, 2022
  • GoToMyPC users, regardless of their plan, can now utilize all the benefits of LastPass Premium at no additional cost
  • Starting from this release LastPass Authenticator is the only supported two-factor authentication tool for GoToMyPC
  • IA administrators can enable or disable two-factor authentication for users belonging to their domain
What's new in the web app (WBU May 1.0) - May 9, 2022
  • We removed the 'Ask me for install update' checkbox to introduce the automatic update feature for GoToMyPC for every user regardless of their subscription plan.
What's new in the web app (WBU March 1.0) - March 11, 2022
  • This release replaces obsolete *logmein.com URLs to *goto.com for admin logins.
  • No new licenses are sold to end-users based in Russia and Belarus

What's new in the desktop app (2023.09.3854 - Client App) - September 20, 2023
  • Updated printer driver. We have updated the printer driver of GoToMyPC from NovaPDF v8 to v11 to improve the printer-related performance of GoToMyPC. New icon
  • Pop-up window fixes New icon
    • We have fixed an issue where the GoToMyPC Host preference window did not show when it was seleceted from the GoToMyPC preference menu on macOS Ventura.
    • Additionally, we have fixed an issue where the Client App promotion window popped up repeatedly, even when the ’Don’t show me again’ option was selected.
  • Fixed an issue where the shared clipboard feature (Preferences>Viewer>Copy/paste between computers) got disabled after each and every session, even if it was enabled by the host.
  • Fixed an issue where the Experience Optimizer feature changed the host computer’s screen resolution unexpectedly. From now on, even if another resolution is selected by the Experience optimizer during a session, the original screen resolution is restored once a session is over.
What's new in the desktop app (2023.07.3818 - Client App) - July 26, 2023
  • Added pop up message about client desktop app download.When a remote session ends, GoToMyPC shows a message, that offers users to download the desktop version of GoToMyPC, highlighting its benefits and advantages. New icon
  • We have also added a tooltip message to the ’Download client app’ button. The message tells our users that once the download is done, they should check the Download folder of their computer and install the GoToMyPC Client App. The tooltip appears when the user hovers their mouse over the ’Download ClientApp’ button on the download dialog window. New icon
  • Added one liner messages for environmental consciousness. To promote green and sustainable work and messaging, GoToMyPC displays messages while opening up a session. For example: ’Thanks for reducing your carbon footprint by connecting remotely!’. New icon

What's new in the desktop app (2023.06.3786 - MacHost) - June 21, 2023
  • We have improved the experience of using the screen sharing feature of GoToMyPC on macOS.The clipboard feature is now fully functional, plus we solved issues of blank screens and session interruptions. New icon
  • We fixed an issue when GoToMyPC had troubles launching on the latest macOS versions (related to macOS 12, 13).
  • This release also introduces minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
What's new in the desktop app (2023.05.3746 - SoundDisable) - May 23, 2023
  • We have improved the Experience Optimizer feature. If there is a new session available on the Client computer’s Viewer, a red dot is now shown on the menu bar. Moreover, we have redesigned the look and feel of the dropdown menus. New icon
  • By default, the host computer does not send audio to the client computer’s Viewer. Users can override this setting at any time.

What's new in the desktop app (2022.08.3585) - August 17, 2022
New:
  • Enhanced the Screen blanking feature by adopting new blanking drivers (VDD) and eliminating the GAMA blanking method. By default, VDD is available only on Windows 10 and above.
  • The G2P service is now forcefully restarted if the installer is found in a pending state during a build upgrade and the status is caused by the intervention of the OS.
What's new in the desktop app (2022.07.3578 - Restart) - July 18, 2022
New:
  • Mac users can now remotely restart GoToMyPC or their host computer(s) from the application.
  • This release introduces a new screen blanking method ensuring backward compatibility. The new method can be enabled while the host computer is in the session.
Fixes:
  • "Lock host screen when connecting or disconnecting" and "Make host screen blank while connected" security settings now work as expected.
What's new in the desktop app (2022.07.3579) MAC ITO - June 24, 2022
New:
  • Added the option to configure security time-out on Mac computers in the Setting tab. Users can now set the number of inactive minutes to trigger time-out. GoToMyPC sends a pop-up notification when it detects inactivity and allows users to keep the session active or disconnect.
What's new in the desktop app (2022.06.3551 - VersionChange) - June 15, 2022
New:
  • Changed the version format to include the four digits of the calendar year.
  • This release introduces various under the hood enhancements that contribute to a better user experience concerning automatic updates, antivirus management and crash reporting.
Fixes:
  • Crashpad_handler now gets launched in every possible scenario to enhance reporting in Windows and Mac environments.
  • Every third party executable used by GoToMyPC is now digitally signed.

What's new in the desktop app (12.1) - February 2, 2022
Fixes
  • G2P viewer now works as expected while performing on demand session diagnosis or silent speed test or any other actions.
  • Optimized settings (screen resolution, low quality audio, color depth, etc) are now reverted even if the viewer quits due to inactivity timeout.
  • Notification on the completion of optimalization and its setting in the Tools menu is now presented in all scenarios.
  • Experience optimization is performed even when speed test has failed.
  • Users can now enable or disable auto-scroll in multi-monitor setups.
  • Users can now restart the print spooler service from the Viewer menu.
  • Fixed an issue when the special Windows function keys triggered actions outside GoToMyPC on mac computers running macOS Monterey 12.0.1
