How do I configure permissions for the LogMeIn Rescue+Mobile applet on a BlackBerry?

LogMeIn Rescue+Mobile requires access to certain device APIs.  The customer applet will not launch unless all of the following permissions are set to Allow:

BlackBerry OS 4.5 and below

    • Device Settings Modification
    • Module Management
    • Keystroke Injection
    • Screen Capturing

BlackBerry OS 4.6 and higher

To edit or view permissions once the applet is already installed:

  1. Open Options.
  2. Select Advanced Options (skip this step in OS 5.0 and higher).
  3. Select Applications.
  4. Highlight LogMeIn Rescue.
  5. Click the Menu button.
  6. Select Edit Permissions.

If certain permissions do not appear on the device, you may disregard them, as they may not apply to that particular device.  If Allow is unavailable for certain permissions, this is being controlled by an Application Control Policy on the company's BlackBerry Enterprise Server(BES).  In this case, please refer to our BES configuration document for further instructions.
