Set up a Prompt ai bot for Skype for Business

Here's how to set up a Prompt ai for Skype for Business.

Steps in process: 2

Step One: Activate the bot at https://www.getprompt.ai/

  1. While logged in at getprompt.ai, go to Integrations > Messaging.
  2. Select Skype for Business.
  3. Name your bot.
    This name is seen by your Skype for Business users.
  4. Click Start setup.
    You are prompted to download and install the bot.

Step Two: Install the bot on Skype for Business using Windows PowerShell.

  1. Make sure you are running the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable.
  2. Download and install the Skype for Business Online, Windows PowerShell Module
  3. Start Windows Powershell in Administrator mode.
  4. Run the following command:
    Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope Current
  5. Run the following command:
    User Import-Module SkypeOnlineConnector 
  6. Run the following command to login to Skype for Business Online tenant: 
    Import-PSSession (New-CsOnlineSession -Credential (Get-Credential)) 
    If you get an error, change client configuration to use basic authentication:
    winrm set winrm/config/client/auth \'@{Basic="True"}\''
  7. Install the bot with the following command:
    New-CsOnlineApplicationEndpoint -ApplicationId {0} -Name Prompt -Uri sip:prompt.bot@<yourdomain>

A newly registered bot can take up to eight hours to be discoverable by all users in the Skype for Business tenant.
