Answer

To disable the feature that dims an inactive Remote Control window, please follow these instructions when you are connected into the host computer.  Please note, for the steps below you will have to open the Windows Registry.  If you are not familiar with the Windows Registry please contact Customer Support for assistance.

  1. Go to Start > Run, type regedit and hit enter.
  2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\LogMeIn\V5\RemoteControl Look for a value named: TrackClientFocus. If you see this value, right click it and select "Modify"; change the value from 1 to 0.
  3. If you do not see this value, right click in the main pane of the window (on the right side of the screen), and choose New to create a new DWORD value. Name it TrackClientFocus and make sure its value is set to 0.
  4. You should restart LogMeIn before the changes will take effect. You can restart LogMeIn by choosing Computer Management and then Reboot > Restart LogMeIn.
