What type of LastPass business account do I have?

There are four different LastPass business account types – LastPass Teams, LastPass Enterprise, LastPass MFA, and LastPass Identity – each providing different identity features and solutions:

As a LastPass user, you can determine your account type based on the features you see when you log in to your account. Learn more about our LastPass Enterprise Identity solutions.

LastPass Teams (Password Vault only)

This solution includes:

  • A password management Vault
  • Shared folders
  • Standard security policies
  • Basic reporting
  • A zero-knowledge security model

If you have this account type, you can confirm by doing the following:

  1. Log in to LastPass and access your Vault by doing either of the following:
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your username and Master Password.
    • In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon LastPass then click Open My Vault.
  2. If Teams User or Teams Admin is listed as the account type in the user account drop-down menu in the upper-right navigation, you have a LastPass Teams account.

LastPass Enterprise (Password Vault and SSO)

This solution includes:

  • A password management Vault
  • Integrated single sign-on (SSO) with 1,200 pre-integrated apps
  • Over 100 customizable policies
  • A centralized Admin Console
  • Flexible integrations
  • In-depth reporting
  • A zero-knowledge security model

If you have this account type, you can confirm by doing the following:

  1. Log in to LastPass and access your Vault by doing either of the following:
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your username and Master Password.
    • In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon LastPass then click Open My Vault.
  2. Select Account Settings in the left navigation.
  3. Click on the Multifactor Options tab.
  4. If you do not see the LastPass MFA authenticator at the bottom of the options page, you have a LastPass Enterprise account.

LastPass MFA (MFA only)

This solution includes:

  • Adaptive authentication
  • Biometric (facial and fingerprint recognition) and pattern matching authentication
  • Contextual authentication policies
  • Centralized, granular control
  • Flexible integrations
  • In-depth reporting

If you have this account type, you can confirm by checking your inbox for a LastPass MFA activation email, or contacting your LastPass admin.

LastPass Identity (Password Vault, SSO, and MFA)

This solution includes:
