HELP FILE

What is my active device type, and how many switches do I have left?

Active device type refers to the class of devices you’ve chosen to access LastPass – either Computer or Mobile. You can switch your device type up to three times before your final device type is designated. On or after March 16, 2021, you can see this information – your active device type and the amount of device switches you have left – from both computer and mobile device types.

Note: "Active device types" only apply to LastPass Free users. LastPass Premium and Families users are not limited to one device type.

Device type does not refer to the number of devices or operating systems being used to access LastPass, but rather the nature of those devices. LastPass Free users can use LastPass on an unlimited number of devices within their one active device type (either computers only or mobile devices only).
