What is the goal of the new LastPass Admin Console?

The goal of the new LastPass Admin Console is to streamline the admin experience and enable businesses to get up and running with single sign-on, password management, and MFA faster and seamlessly.

Why did you decide to build a new version of the LastPass Admin Console?

We made the decision to build the new LastPass Admin Console based on customer feedback at the LastPass Customer Advisory Board, where our customers offered suggestions and recommendations on how to make LastPass even easier to use. See the new features and changes in the New Admin Console.

What is included in this release?

In this release, we focused on improving user management by bringing new and improved functionality to the Users tab, as well as simplified navigation to help you move faster within the console. Additional functionality and improvements for other tabs will be added to the Admin Console in future releases.

The main differences and improvements made in the new LastPass Admin Console include:

  • An updated navigation to streamline how you access admin controls
  • Unified single sign-on, password management, and multifactor authentication controls

Which product tiers have access to the new LastPass Admin Console?

LastPass Enterprise and Identity admins now have the ability to access the new Admin Console, which unifies the management of all admin features and tools.

Are there restrictions to which LastPass Enterprise and LastPass Identity accounts gain access to the new LastPass Admin Console?

The New Admin Console is available to all accounts, with the following restrictions:

  • Only email-verified admins and Super Admins are allowed access
  • Users listed under the "Grant limited access" policy will not be allowed access
  • Available only to LastPass Enterprise and Identity accounts
  • Not available to LastPass MFA standalone accounts
