HELP FILE
Manage Your Sites
One of the great time-saving benefits of LastPass is that it remembers your passwords. When you visit a site to log in, LastPass fills the credentials for you – no typing required! You can add, edit, delete, and share the passwords stored in your Vault. You can also set additional security measures when particular sites are accessed, and utilize the Auto Change Password feature on supported sites.
Note: Your LastPass Vault has an unlimited capacity of items that can be added, however, you can expect to see performance degradation when 2,000 items or more are stored.

About hidden passwords for shared items
When you share an item, regardless of whether you enable the "Allow Recipient to View Password" option, you should be aware of the following:
- Savvy end users could potentially access the password if they capture it using advanced techniques, but LastPass will never be able to access this data because it has been encrypted using their public key.
- It is also possible to obtain shared passwords using another password manager.
For these reasons, LastPass recommends that you generate a secure password for the site that you’re sharing in order to avoid sharing any passwords that you’re uncomfortable with the recipient obtaining.
About adding attachments to passwords
Adding attachments can be helpful in maintaining access to important documents in case they are misplaced or you lose access to a printed copy.
LastPass users can add various file types as attachments that meet the following requirements:
- Must be a supported file type: "avi", "csv", "doc", "docx", "gif", "htm", "html", "jpeg", "jpg", "key", "log", "m4a", "mov", "mpg", "odt", "pdf", "png", "ppt", "pptx", "rar", "rtf", "tif", "tiff", "tsv", "txt", "wav", "wmv", "xls", "xlsx", "zip"
- Each attachment file can be up to 10 MB in size, and your total storage limits are dependent on your account type (i.e., Free users have up to 50 MB whereas Premium, Families, Teams, Enterprise, and Identity accounts have up to 1 GB).
Limitations
- Attachments cannot be opened from the online Vault in a web browser (i.e., logging in to https://www.lastpass.com). You can only download attachments by logging in using the web browser extension, desktop app, or mobile app.
- If changes are made to an attachment, the updated version of the file must be uploaded as a new attachment.
