Manage Your Form Fills

LastPass can make dealing with web forms easier by storing the contents of common web form fields (e.g., first name, last name, address, credit card number, etc.) that you add to the Form Fills section, then use them to populate the information for you when you visit a Site asking for this information.

Navigate to Form Fills

You can navigate to your Form Fills in either of the following ways:

Directly via the web browser extension:

  1. If you have not done so, log in to LastPass.
  2. Click the active LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar.
  3. Go to Form Fills.

From within your Vault:

  1. If you have not done so, log in to LastPass.
  2. Click the active LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar, then click Open My Vault.
  3. Click the Expand icon in the left menu, then click on Form Fills.

Add Form Fills

To add Form Fill data for filling a Web form, do the following:

  1. Navigate to your Form Fills.
  2. Click the Add Form Fill option.
  3. Enter as much information on the form as you wish to provide, including a Name, Type, Language, and more. If you'd like to create your own field(s) for LastPass to fill in, you can select Custom Fields and manually enter a value for "Text to Find" (value of text to look for on a web form) and another for "Value to Fill" (corresponding value to use on a web form). Optionally, you can click Advanced Settings to enable the "Require Password Re-prompt" option.
  4. When finished, click Save.

  1. You can find your newly stored items in the "none" folder by default, but can choose to transfer the items to other folders if desired.

Edit Form Fills

If you find that LastPass is filling in erroneous fields, or you just need to update in general, you can edit a Form Fill as follows:

  1. Navigate to your desired Form Fill.
  2. Click the Edit icon .
  3. Make your desired changes. Optionally, check the box to enable the option "Enable Free Credit Mointoring" or click Advanced Settings to enable the option for Require a Password Reprompt.
  4. Click Save when finished.

Use Form Fills

After you add your Web form data in LastPass, you can use LastPass to fill out Web forms by doing the following:

  1. Navigate to a web page that requires the Form Fill. Note:  If you have not yet done so, please add a Form Fill first.

  1. Click the active LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar.
  2. Depending on how many Form Fills you have created, 1 or more may appear. Hover over the Form Fill you want to use, and click Fill. If you only want your Form Fill to fill in specific fields, use your cursor to highlight the text of the name of each web form field (hold Ctrl to highlight multiple fields), then click Fill.

  1. If prompted, enter your Master Password and click Continue. Optionally, you can check to enable the "Do not re-prompt for" option, and use the drop-down menu to select a time interval. Note: This is not recommended when using a public or untrusted computer.

  1. LastPass automatically populates all of the information you entered in your Form Fill. Manually fill in any other required information.
