Log in to LastPass

After you have created an account and installed LastPass, you can log in to start saving passwords, Form Fills, and other information.

Note: If your LastPass Enterprise account is set up to use Active Directory Federation Services, please see Federated Login Experience for LastPass Users for detailed instructions.

Log in via the web browser extension

To log in to LastPass using the installed web browser extension, do the following:

  1. Go to the LastPass downloads page and click Download for your desired web browser extension, or click Quick Install.
  2. In your web browser toolbar, click the inactive LastPass icon .
  3. Enter your email address and your LastPass Master Password, then click Log In. An active LastPass icon is now displayed in your web browser toolbar to indicate a successful login.
  4. If prompted, complete steps for Multifactor Authentication (if it is enabled on your account).

Log in via the website

Note: Access via the website does not auto-save and/or autofill Sites.

If you are unable to install the LastPass web browser extension but need to access your account, you can log in from your desktop via a web browser as follows:

  1. Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1.
  2. Enter your LastPass username and Master Password, then click Log In.
  3. If prompted, complete steps for Multifactor Authentication (if it is enabled on your account).

Log in to the LastPass for Windows Desktop application

  1. Download and install LastPass for Windows Desktop application.
  2. Once installed, the app will launch automatically.
  3. Enter your username and Master Password, then click Login.
  4. If prompted, complete steps for Multifactor Authentication (if it is enabled on your account).

Log in to the LastPass Mac app

  1. Download and install the LastPass Mac app from the App Store.
  2. Once installed, double-click the LastPass App icon to launch it.
  3. The LastPass Menu Bar icon will appear in the Menu Bar. Click the LastPass Menu Bar icon and select Log in to LastPass from the menu.
  4. Enter your username and Master Password, then click Log In.
  5. If prompted, complete steps for Multifactor Authentication (if it is enabled on your account).
  6. Your LastPass Vault opens, and you can use the LastPass Menu Bar icon to use the Quick Search feature (if enabled) open your Vault, generate passwords, manage your Preferences, check for updates, log out, and quit.

Log in to LastPass from a mobile device

When logging on to LastPass for the first time from a mobile device, do the following:

  1. Download the LastPass Password Manager app for iOS or Android.
  2. Open the app and enter your username and Master Password, then tap or select Log In.
  3. If prompted, complete steps for Multifactor Authentication (if it is enabled on your account).
  4. If you have not validated your account access using email verification, the system sends you an email containing a verification link. Open the email and tap the verification link.
  5. Switch back to the LastPass app, then enter your email address and Master Password once more to be authenticated. These settings will continue to be saved and will no longer require you to verify your identification via email from this device unless you chose to clear your mobile device configuration settings.
