Install LastPass Software Using the Admin Console

LastPass Enterprise provides customizable installation options and parameters to be used within your organization, including:

Install LastPass for Windows

  1. Log in and access the Admin Console at https://lastpass.com/company/#!/dashboard.
  2. Go to SettingsInstall Software in the left menu.
  3. Customize your installer by using the drop down menus to select 1 of the following options for each configuration:
Select your platform
  • Microsoft Windows (Vista or later)
Select your architecture
  • 64bit
  • 32bit
Select installation type
  • Manual GUI install: My users will manually install LastPass
  • Automated silent install: My users will have their LastPass install automated for them
  • MSI file to deploy using a Group Policy Object (GPO)
Do you require Windows Login Integration?
(not available for manual GUI installations)
  • No
  • Yes
Do you require filling of fields in Windows applications?
  • No – This option installs LastPass for Applications but does not include the binary component (which will prevent you from using the Form Fills feature).
  • Yes – This option installs LastPass for Applications and includes the binary component (allows you to use the Form Fills feature).
  1. Once you have identified your customized configurations, the steps for your installer will appear below.
  2. Follow the steps outlined to install LastPass in your Windows environment. This includes enabling the LastPass web browser extension when prompted the next time you launch each of your web browsers.

Install LastPass for Mac

  1. Log in and access the Admin Console at https://lastpass.com/company/#!/dashboard.
  2. Go to SettingsInstall Software in the left menu.

FAQs

Does each user need to install LastPass?

LastPass must be installed on each machine in order to be used. If you have a Windows server environment, then you only need to install LastPass on the servers being used. If instead your organization gives each user their own Windows or Mac operating system, then the software will need to be installed on each machine.

Can I customize the command line Windows installation?

You can view the command line arguments for each by selecting Windows as the platform, then changing the selections to view the command line output for each selection made.
