How do I export stored data from LastPass using a generic CSV file?

You can export the contents of your LastPass Vault so that you can keep a secure copy for your own records.

Note: Instructions will vary based on whether or not the LastPass binary component is included in your installation of the LastPass web browser extension.

Export using the LastPass web browser extension

  1. In your web browser toolbar, click the inactive LastPass icon .
  2. Enter your username and your LastPass Master Password, then click Log In.
  3. Click the active LastPass icon LastPass, then navigate to one of the following (based on your view):
    • Go to More Options > AdvancedExport > LastPass Form Fills.
    • Go to Account Options > AdvancedExport > LastPass Form Fills.
  4. If prompted, enter your Master Password then click Continue.
    • If you do have the binary component installed, you will be prompted to enter a file name and save as a CSV file.
    • If you do not have the binary component installed, your exported info will display in a webpage, which you can copy the contents and paste into a text editor application, then save.

Export from within your Vault

  1. Log in to LastPass and access your Vault by doing either of the following:
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your username and Master Password.
    • In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon LastPass then click Open My Vault.
  2. Select More Options in the left navigation.
  3. Go to AdvancedExport.
  4. If prompted, enter your Master Password and click Continue.
    • If you do have the binary component installed, you will be prompted to enter a file name and save as a CSV file.
    • If you do not have the binary component installed, your exported info will display in a webpage, which you can copy the contents and paste into a text editor application, then save.
