How do I export stored data from LastPass using a generic CSV file?

You can export the contents of your LastPass Vault so that you can keep a secure copy for your own records.

Export using the LastPass web browser extension

  1. Log in to LastPass by doing either of the following:
    • In your web browser toolbar, click the inactive (grey or black) LastPass icon inactive LastPass icon, then enter your email address and Master Password and click Log In.
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and enter your email address and Master Password, then click Log In.
  2. Click the active LastPass icon .
  3. Navigate to Account Options OR < your username > at the bottom of the menu, then go to Advanced > Export > LastPass CSV File.
  4. If prompted, enter your Master Password and click Continue.

    Result: A CSV file containing your data is downloaded.

You have successfully exported your LastPass Vault data in CSV format.

Export from within your Vault

  1. Log in to LastPass and access your Vault by doing either of the following:
    • In your web browser toolbar, click the LastPass icon active LastPass icon, then select Open My Vault.
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your email address and Master Password.
  2. Select Advanced Options in the left navigation.
  3. Select Export.
  4. If prompted, enter your Master Password and click Continue.

    Result: A CSV file containing your data is downloaded.

You have successfully exported your LastPass Vault data in CSV format.
