How do I import a LastPass Encrypted file that was exported from LastPass?

You can import your LastPass Vault data that you exported as a LastPass Encrypted file.

Important: In order to import LastPass Vault data back in to LastPass, you will be required to enter the encryption key that you created during the export process.
Attention: Importing directly into a shared folder is not supported. This means that all items will be imported as items within standard folders.

Autofilling after import

Once imported, you might notice that some websites do not autofill right away. This is because LastPass needs to “see” the website in order to capture the exact username and password fields, as they differ from website to website. When you visit the website for the first time after importing, use the Field icons to force fill the credentials and log in. It will autofill every time after that.
