How do I downgrade from a LastPass Teams or Enterprise account?

If you accidentally signed up for a LastPass Teams or Enterprise account, you can downgrade to a personal account.

Your LastPass Teams or Enterprise trial has already expired

Please contact LastPass Customer Care (click Contact Support at the bottom of this article) to assist with downgrading to a LastPass Free account. If desired, you can purchase LastPass Premium at https://lastpass.com/premium.

Your LastPass Teams or Enterprise trial is still active

  1. Log in to LastPass at https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 with your username and Master Password.
  2. From within your Vault, move all items within every shared folder into a standard (non-shared) folder.
  3. Delete the (now empty) shared folders:
    1. Log in and access your LastPass Vault.
    2. Select Sharing Center in the left navigation.
    3. Click the Manage Shared Folders tab.
    4. Click the Delete icon .
    5. Click Yes to confirm.
  4. Purge the deleted shared folders:
    1. From your Vault, Select Sharing Center in the left navigation.
    2. Click the Manage Shared Folders tab.
    3. Check the box to enable the View Deleted Shared Folders option.
    4. Click the Purge icon .
    5. Click Yes to confirm.
  5. If you are the only user on your account, unlink your personal account (see instructions).
  6. If you have added other users to your account, do the following:
    1. Log in to your LastPass Enterprise account at https://lastpass.com/?ac=1.
    2. If you and/or your users created shared folders, move all items within every shared folder into a standard (non-shared) folder (see instructions).
    3. From within your Vault, click Admin Console in the left navigation.
    4. Select Users in the left navigation.
    5. Check the box next to each user, then click the More icon Elipsis at the top of the users table and select Remove selected users from company. Please note that this option is not available for your own user account because you cannot remove yourself.
  7. Contact LastPass Customer Care (click Contact Support at the bottom of this article) to assist with removing your account from your LastPass Teams or Enterprise trial. Once removed, your account will become a LastPass Free account. If desired, you can purchase LastPass Premium at https://lastpass.com/premium.
