How do I cancel automatic renewal for LastPass Premium?

You can cancel the next upcoming renewal of your LastPass Premium subscription plan at any time. Don't worry, if you change your mind, you can reactivate your LastPass subscription whenever you'd like.

Please note that cancellation steps will vary depending on whether you purchased LastPass via the website, mobile device, or PayPal.

What happens when I cancel?

Once your automatic renewal has been canceled, you will continue to have access to LastPass until your subscription plan expires at the end of your billing period.

When will changes take place?

Since your subscription plan is pre-paid, you will keep your service until the billing period ends. This means that you will not lose access to any of the features within your subscription plan until your current billing period ends and your subscription plan expires.

No. Since your subscription plan is pre-paid, you will keep your service until the billing period ends and your subscription plan expires.

Cancel your subscription purchased via LastPass website

If you purchased LastPass directly via our website using a credit/debit card, you can cancel your upcoming renewal from within your account in various ways. Once canceled, a confirmation email is sent to your account email address.

From logging in directly:

  1. Log in to My Account at https://lastpass.com/my.php.
  2. In the Premium Status section, click Cancel.
  3. When prompted, click Yes to confirm.

From the LastPass web browser extension:

  1. In your web browser toolbar, click the active LastPass icon .
  2. In the left navigation, go to More OptionsAdvanced > My Account.
  3. In the Premium Status section, click Cancel.
  4. When prompted, click Yes to confirm.

From within your Vault:

  1. Log in and access your Vault.
  2. In the left navigation, go to Account SettingsMy Account.
  3. In the Premium Status section, click Cancel.
  4. When prompted, click Yes to confirm.

Cancel your subscription purchased on a mobile device

From an iOS device:

To cancel a LastPass subscription that is purchased using an iOS device, please see the iTunes & App Store instructions. You will receive an in-app notification 10 days prior to your subscription expiring.

From an Android device:

LastPass subscriptions purchased via the Google Play Store on an Android device do not automatically renew. This means that your subscription will automatically expire at the end of your billing period, but you will receive an in-app notification 14 days prior to expiration as a reminder.

Cancel your subscription purchased via PayPal

If you purchased your LastPass subscription using PayPal, you must cancel your automatic renewal directly through your PayPal account.
