As a LastPass admin, how can I resend the activation email for passwordless authentication?

For LastPass admins who have a LastPass Business account, you can resend the passwordless authentication activation email for individual users or in bulk to all required users.

Note: LastPass admins cannot resend the activation email to users that have a "Staged" status.

Resend to an individual user

  1. Log in and access the Admin Console at https://lastpass.com/company/#!/dashboard.
  2. Select MFA or SSO & MFA in the left navigation.
  3. Select Users in the left navigation.
  4. Select your desired user.
  5. Click Resend Activation.

    Note: If you have a LastPass Business account, the user will also receive an additional email with instructions on how to activate their account.

A new activation email is sent to the user with instructions on how to activate passwordless authentication.

Resend to all required users

You can send the activation email in bulk to all users that are required to activate and use the LastPass Authenticator, including the following:
  • Users who are enforced by policy to authenticate using the LastPass Authenticator
  • Users who are assigned to an SSO app that uses the LastPass Authenticator for authentication
  • Users who have not yet activated the passwordless authentication
  1. Log in and access the Admin Console at https://lastpass.com/company/#!/dashboard.
  2. Select MFA or SSO & MFA in the left navigation.
  3. Select Users in the left navigation.
  4. Click Invite Required MFA Users.
A new activation email is sent to all required users with instructions on how to activate their account.
