Can I upload my own greetings?
Yes, you can upload your own greetings via your account online for free!
First things first, please make sure to use the following format when uploading:
- 16 bit Mono
- 100 kHz
- 16 bit Mono
- The name of the file should be less than 25 characters
- 2 minutes / 2MB limit
If you ordered greetings from our Voice Studio team, make sure you save those greetings to your computer before trying to upload.
For customers who signed up before June 2011, you have a different interface. Please scroll to the bottom for instructions. For everyone else, read on:
To upload a Main Greeting, go to Settings, then select the Main Greeting tab. From that page, select Change Greeting, then Create new greeting.
Select the Upload button next to Upload audio file.
Then choose the file you want to upload from your computer:
Follow these steps for your voicemail, call forwarding and extension name greetings.
Go to Extensions then click Edit on the extension you want to upload a greeting for. Scroll down to the Greetings section and click Show other greetings.
Select Change Greeting for the greeting you would like to upload. Then choose the upload option next to Upload audio file:
Then choose the file you want to upload from your computer and click Upload greeting to finish.
It can’t be easier!
Note: If you started using Grasshopper before June 2011, your account may look different. Instead, please follow these steps:
- Log into your account as an admin
- Click on Settings
- Click on Main Greeting tab
- Go to Manage Your Main Greeting
- Click Add to library
- Enter Greeting Name
- Browse your computer for an MP3 file
- Click Add
- Click Activate next to the greeting you want to use
