Calls are going straight to voicemail, how can I fix this

We're sorry to hear that calls are not forwarding to you. This issue is usually resolved by updating the ring time on your call forwarding number.

Please follow the steps below to update the ring time

Here are the instructions for updating the ring time on our Direct Connect setting:

  1. Log into your Grasshopper account
  2. Go to Extensions
  3. Select Edit next to the extension that is missing calls

  1. Click Edit next to your call forwarding number

  1. Look for "How should Grasshopper handle calls to this number?"
  2. If "Calls will connect to you as soon as you pick up" is selected, verify that the ring time is set to 180 seconds.

  1. If is not, update the ring time to 180 seconds
  2. Click Save & Close

Here are the instructions for Call Announce and Call Screening:

  1. Log into your Grasshopper account
  2. Go to Extensions
  3. Select Edit next to the extension that is missing calls
  4. Click Edit next to your call forwarding number

  1. Look for "How should Grasshopper handle calls to this number?"
  2. If "Calls will be announced when you pick up" or "Callers will be asked for their name.." is selected, verify that the ring time is not too low.

  1. Update the ring time to 25-40 seconds
  2. Select Save & Close
