Clicking 'Copy Link' using Google Chrome appears to do nothing.

Objective

Environment

  • Google Chrome
  • GoToWebinar
  • GoToTraining
  • GoToMeeting

Procedure

Answer

Cause

Flash is used to copy the links to the clipboard and Google Chrome has Flash disabled by default in recent versions.

Resolution

Enable Flash for All Websites

  1. Click the User-added image menu icon at the top right of your Chrome browser
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click Show advanced settings...
  4. Under Privacy click Content Settings...
  5. Under Flash select Allow Sites to run Flash
    • User-added image
  6. Click Done
  7. Reload the recording playback page and the recording should now play successfully

Allow On Specific Websites

The Ask before allowing sites to run Flash... setting will not work as Chrome will not prompt to run Flash. If the more control over allowing Flash is required, specific websites can be added to the Manage Exceptions list.
  1. Click the User-added image menu icon at the top right of your Chrome browser
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click Show advanced settings...
  4. Under Privacy click Content Settings...
  5. Under Flash click Manage exceptions...
  6. Enter [*.]domain.com for the desired website
    • Example: [*.]gotowebinar.com for the entire GoToWebinar website
    • User-added image
  7. Click Done
  8. Click Done
  9. Reload the page
