Outlook Is Not Creating New Invitation Email

Issue

G2M Outlook integration is not working as expected, no invitation is generated when a new meeting is scheduled.

Procedure

Answer

Cause

When scheduling, Outlook doesn't launch (if it wasn't running already) nor create a new invitation email if it was already running.

Resolution

Enable GoToMeeting application integration:

  1. Close Outlook
  2. Go to the system tray, right-click on the GoToMeeting icon
  3. Click Preferences
  4. Click Integrations on the left navigation
  5. Select Use GoToMeeting with
  6. Select Microsoft Outlook
  7. Click OK
  8. Schedule a new meeting

Enable Inactive Add-In:
  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File
  3. Click Options
  4. Click Add-Ins
  5. Select COM Add-ins in the Manage drop-down box at the bottom
  6. Click Go
  7. Select GoToMeeting Outlook COM Addin
  8. Click OK
  9. Schedule a new meeting
