How To Get Log Files from Windows Computers

Collect log files for escalated cases from a Windows computer

Environment

  • GoToAssist Remote Support
  • Windows

Procedure

Important: GoToLogFiles cannot collect logs that are currently in session. Please make sure to exit any sessions prior to running GoToLogFiles.

  1. Download GoToLogFiles
  2. Run the file GoToLogFiles.exe
  3. Click Archive logs to ZIP
    • Note: Uncheck any products that are not relevant to save space and time
  4. Email the log files to the representative who assisted you or contact Global Customer Support
