System Requirements for GoToAssist Seeit Agents

    As an agent, you can easily host a GoToAssist Seeit session from any compatible Windows or Mac computer using the agent website, or create sessions on your iOS device. Below are the system requirements to host a support session as an agent.

    Note: GoToAssist Seeit is also a built-in feature of the GoToAssist (Customer) App for Android. If you are a customer attempting to join a session, please see the System Requirements for GoToAssist Seeit Customers.

    Host a session from a Windows or Mac computer

    To host a GoToAssist Seeit session from the agent website on your desktop computer, you will need the following:

    • An active GoToAssist Seeit agent seat (new trial or paid subscriptions are no longer available)
    • Windows 7 or later
    • Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or later
    • Google Chrome (current version)
    • Mozilla Firefox (current version)
    • Internet Explorer v10 or later with OpenTok plugin (unsupported but compatible)
    • Broadband internet connection with 1+ Mbps
    • Intel Processor (2GB of RAM or better)
    Ports (required):
    • TCP port 443
    • Non-web (non-SSL) traffic via port 443
    Ports (recommended):
    • UDP port 3478
    • UDP ports 1025 - 65535 (for optimal experience)

    Host a session from iOS

    Note: Using a mobile device to log in to the agent website and create a GoToAssist Seeit session is not supported. Sessions must be hosted from the agent iOS app on a mobile device.

    To host a GoToAssist Seeit session from the GoToAssist Seeit Agent App for iOS, you will need the following:

    • An active GoToAssist Seeit agent seat (new trial or paid subscriptions are no longer available)
    • iOS 8.1 or later
    • iPhone 5 or later
    • iPad 2 or later
    • 3G or Wi-Fi
    Mobile App:
    • GoToAssist Seeit Agent App for iOS - Download onto an iOS device to host support sessions. Learn more.

    Video and image quality

    When you record your session or take snapshots during your session, the image and video quality can vary depending on your customer's mobile device.

    Android devices

    When you use camera sharing, take snapshots and/or record sessions, the image and video quality can vary depending on the Android device your customer is using.

    Minimum bandwidth requirements

    For a good user experience, both the agent and customer should have the following minimum bandwidth requirements upstream & downstream:

    Audio & video (combined) 350 kbps
    Video only (per stream) 300 kbps
    Audio only (per stream) 50 kbps
