If you ever lose or replace the multifactor enabled device you use to sign in to your LogMeIn account, you can go through the enrollment process again on your new device. This will replace the previously established multifactor authentication paired to your account, so that your account authenticates with the most recently enrolled device.

Note: If you are using the LastPass Authenticator, you can enable Cloud Backup to create a backup of your paired accounts, then restore from Cloud Backup to seamlessly recover them in case you ever lose or replace your mobile device.

  1. Sign in to your LogMeIn account with your email address and password.
  2. When prompted to enter a code for multifactor authentication, click Set up a new mobile device.
  3. Follow the instructions from Step #2 above to complete the re-enrollment process and pair a new mobile device.
You may be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app during the sign-in process if there are contributing high-risk factors involved with your sign-in session, which may include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • You are accessing a page containing sensitive information for your account
  • There is detection of unusual activity
  • There is a sign-in attempt from an unidentified and/or suspicious location

Once you have successfully authenticated, you will not be prompted again during your active sign-in session.
